Long Time No Update
It has been a long time since I updated my site. A lot has happen with the car and my personal life. For the personal life, we decide to sell our house, don't worry we are not in a financial stress. Since we now decide to only have one child, doesn't make too much sense to live in a huge house. Hopefully the market will get better with time, and the 700 billion (with 150 billion of pork) bail out will work. To get the house ready, it took some time.
To celebrate my complete remission, my friends and I went up to Minnesota during Labor Day. Can check out the pictures here. My friend know that I love big Belgium beers, so he brought up a bottle f Sam Adam's Utopia.
Also we had to get things ready for "Light the Night" walk. It is a walk put on by the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society. I am special, I get the white balloon and blue t-shirt.
Now on to the car stuff.
Finished up the lines to the catch cans.
Start the mock-up on the smaller battery.
Finished product.
Almost had the car done that day. The bad thing is that I couldn't get the fuel rail to seal. I finally order an Aeromotive -8an fuel rail. Then on 8/24/2008 I got the motor started.
Finally hook-up everything and tested things out on the Talon. Fixed a couple of
fuel and coolant leaks. Downloaded my code to the AEM and turned the key. Like
so many others before me it wouldn't start. Run for a couple seconds and died.
Pull the plugs, and everything looked fine. Went through my code and everything
looked fine. After a couple hours of debug, I found there was not enough fuel in
the tank. Of course it had to be something so simple. Ran to the gas station and
she fired up. Turn the CAS by hand to get it idling better. Also had to add some
more fuel to the table. There are a couple of small leaks I got to take care of,
but everything looks great.
Of coarse after the engine was started, I found out that my alternator was going bad. Since I am going to have a big stereo system, I went with a 220A Saturn alternator.
Old vs. New
Had to do some grinding to get a Saturn alternator in a Mits car.
After the alternator, I set the timing in the car. Did some tuning, and had the usual AEM problem, especial that that damn 0.00% TPS. After getting the car a some what good tune, I got her ready for a test drive. Put here shoes back on, and rigged up the boost gauge.

Glad to say she ran great. Pulled like a bull.
