Garage Is Almost Done
It has been a long time, three months, since I updated the site. Having a 1.5 year old going to daycare and a weaken immune system is not a good combo. Been sick many weekends, and the progress on the garage is been at a snail pace. Also only been working one day out of the week.
The garage is almost done. I passed my drywall screw inspection. Yes there is a dry wall screw inspection. Now just taping and mudding the joints. The walls are almost done, just need to finish one of the end caps. Then I need to move onto the ceiling. After that I will have my final inspection, and seal the garage floor. Then I finally can start moving stuff into the garage. Also can finally park our daily drivers in the old garage. Here are some pics of the progress.

My old computer overheated and broke down. Not too surprising since it was a P4 heater. I can not complain too much since I got the CPU for free. Actually it was loaned to me by Intel, and they could ask for it back for 2 years. It was there way of giving there employees free CPUs and not having to pay the taxes.
Now that I work for AMD, I chose the AMD 720 Phenom II with a Gigabyte AM3 790FX motherboard. The cool thing is that I actually worked on the 45nm Phenom II project. Also got an ATI 4890 GFX card. Pics of the build below.

4/27/2009 Update on the computer.
The CPU cooler and fans came in today. Also got the thermo paste remover so I can but a fresh coat of Arctic Silver 5.

The CPU cooler/heat sink. Arctic Cooler Freezer Pro 64.

CPU cooler and fans installed. Had to move the DRAM to the farther DIMMS to clear the fan. It is alright since I ca only use 2 DIMMs with DDR3-1333 and higher on this motherboard.
