Slowly Making Progress
I have been working a couple of hours for few days out of the week. I can't work every day because I get too tired from the previous day. It sucks, but I am getting better everyday.
Got the throttle body put back together. It went pretty fast, except for those damn springs. I used a trick with zip tying the two spring ends together, the rotating them.
I worked about 4 hours today, which is a new record. So close to starting the car, I can almost taste it. My next major hurdle is all the wiring, which shouldn't be too big since I am an Electrical Engineer. I have gotten the CAS almost done, and the MAP, IAT, and boost controller should go pretty fast. Also, got to fab something up to fit a smaller battery, since the intake gets into the way. Then just need to fill up the radiator and start her up.
Got the FPR mounted up and ready to go. Can also see way I need a smaller battery.
Fuel rail in with the fuel lines.
Removing the cruise control. On the left is the new throttle cable. On the right is the whole cruise set-up that I deleted.
Re-fitted the brake reservoir so it will not be hitting the sheet metal intake manifold.
old.
Hooked up the AEM O2 wideband.
Installed the valve cover. New gaskets and SS bolts.
I am changing the CAS out to a Black Top CAS. I had a 90's CAS, which had the long wires. When re-wiring I found that one of the CAS wires was just twisted together. The installer of the 6-bolt was pretty sloppy in some places. Glad that I am doing everything.
Rocking the Black CAS-bah.
